Nate 12-3-05

Many of you who read this know that Nathan Charles, a junior at Martin Luther was killed in a car accident.

Job 34:20 "In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight and pass away; and the mighty shall be taken away without hand."

I did not know Nate all that well but, I do know that he was kind to others. He also died in Christ.

II Tim. 1:10 "Jesus Christ hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."

Many people have been saying how unbelievable this is. How blessed we are because we can say that. Something like this could be happening a lot more often then it does. Let us thank God that it does not.

James 4:14 "What is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away."

Thankfully, Christ came and died for us so that we will have everlasting life. Nate has everlasting life. He is eating from the Tree of Life.

1 Cor. 15:55-57. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

All of us will one day die. We will one day join Nate in the eternal feast with God. Do not let his death weaken your faith. Let it strengthen your faith in Christ and the Eternal Life he bought for us with His death. Christ conquered death for us so that we will live. Thanks be to God that he has taken our brother from us, from sin, from all evil. Nate is with Christ! Christ was waiting for him. As Christ is waiting for us now!

John 14:2-3 "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also."

Although, Nate is missed by all of us. We must look to our last days. Let us remain strong in faith throughout this time of sorrow. We all are sinners. We all deserve both a physical death and spiritual death. But Christ has come to save you, me and all others. Nate has been taken to be with Christ. Gods will be done.

I Tim. 1:15 "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief."

Rev. 14:13 "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from hence forth; yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."

Jer. 31:3 "I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Come, quickly Lord Jesus!
